I live in Yishun town, or known as Nee Soon a few decades ago.  The town is named after rubber magnate Lim Nee Soon, or otherwise known as the 'Pineapple King'. He was a well known merchant and philanthropist in the early 1800s, and used to own large plots of land in the Nee Soon area.

There is a community club near my flat. The purpose of community clubs in Singapore is to foster bonding and interactions among residents through a whole array of events and courses held in the CCs, such as New Year celebrations, Taiji, painting, culinary courses etc.

Recently, I made a great discovery right at their backyard!  There was a large fungi like thing, it seems like a Lingzhi mushroom growing right in the drain!  Take a look at the picture.
