Learning Hokkien was fun. The teacher showed us two hokkien songs on her laptop today. They sounded ok, but I could not speak hokkien! I hear my grandmother speak hokkien everyday, but I didn't really understand what she said. Obviously, I had many troubles in pronouncing the hokkien words quickly. I needed 90% help from the teacher when saying the hokkien words, and that was so embarrassing! Soon, I got the hang of it. I could do it! I never had so much fun when singing the two hokkien songs! The teacher even gave us lolipops and goodies to praise us for our wonderful effort we have put in.
Also, today is Racial Harmony Day. I believe that the many races in Singapore should bond and stick together, not only for this day, but every single day of the year. I never discriminate among other races just because of their skin colour, behaviour, e.t.c. We must treat all races, Chinese, Malay, Indian, European, and other races in Singapore, equally.
