My first primary school in Singapore no longer exists here already. Although I only studied there for two years, I had fond memories. I had my first Chinese lesson, first CCA and first time taking a major exam (PSLE) in Singapore. One year after I left, my primary school merged together with other two other neighbourhood primary schools in Toa Payoh- Braddell area into a new school called First Toa Payoh Primary School.
The old school compound has yet to be demolished despite the school being closed since 1999. However, Jack Neo, a local director used the venue to film his movie I Not Stupid in 2002 which bought back some of my fond memories.
