What a day. A fun and enjoying day I had in school. Today is racial harmony day and my school did a lot of activities. I decided to join the Chinese Dialect to learn more about Hokkien. I wasn’t familiar with Hokkien. Not a single bit. But today, I learn more about Hokkien and what the words meant. It sounds a bit weird as it was the first time that I was exposed to Hokkien.
My friends and I enjoyed the class a lot. I also learnt a few sentences like," I went shopping yesterday." Of course, I forgot what it is in Hokkien as I forgot how to speak Hokkien already. Well, how does learning to speak in Hokkien part of racial harmony? Actually I have no idea what link does it have between learning Hokkien and racial harmony. I think that Hokkien is part of Chinese and we learn Chinese for a part of racial harmony day. It was enjoyable and all of us received sweets for our attitude during the lesson. When the time is up, I went to the next class right away.
