Today, me and my friends in school had had a racial harmony program set up for us and we could choose our own program to attend. Some of my friends and i chose to go to the dialect program and learn new dialect that is not familiar. We learnt how to say hokkien and sing some hokkien songs. The songs are some what familiar to us as our older generation sings them. We struggled at first to learn how to say those words but as we sang a few times, it became more and more fluent. After we tried singing a few times and after that we changed songs and continue learning how to sing other songs. The new songs was harder to sing as they were quite new and only middle-aged people know how to sing them and our parents had never sang them before. After attending the racial harmony program i feel that it is a session that no one would want to miss.
