Today i and my friends went to the Chinese dialects program made my teachers. At there, i learnt how to speak hokkien better. I am hokkien yet i cannot speak hokkien which was quite embarassing. It was fun and enjoyable as i soon found out that hokkien was actually a more 'fanciful' way to talk rather than always using Chinese. I also learnt the very common and nice hokkien song ; ti or or . Since young, my parents and my grandparents always communicate using hokkien and I always barely knew what they meant. Thus, after the session,I was very happy that i learnt to speak hokkien as i can finally boast to my parents that i can speak hokkien! Even so, the session ended in a blink of an eye. This session had made me have a interest in finding out more about hokkien and its origin.
