Today is Racial Harmony day.I chose to learn chinese dialects as part of the racial harmony programme organised by the school stuff.I chose hokkien as it sounded much more fun than other dialects. We then sat down. The teacher gave us a sheet of paper. On it was written some chinese characters. Our task was to translate them into hokkien. The teacher asiigned to us gave us some help on the way. The teacher also showed us two hokkien songs on her computer. For trying to sing the song and our attempt to translate those chracters, we were rewarded with lollipops and chocolate. I then shared with my classmates. This lesson reminded me of when i was in primary school. We were asked to dress in our own ethnic costumes. Although i didn't dress as one, it as fun watching all those in ethnic costumes dance and perform on the racial harmony concert as they looked really cool. remembering those memories, I smiled on and walk on to the next lesson.
