Today is Racial Harmony Day. Lessons went as usual in the morning but everyone was anticipating the racial harmony day celebration and everyone was very excited. The programme started at 11.10 am and there was somthing next to chaos in the school. my group of friends and went to a Know, Do, Be class to learn dialects and we went for the Hokkien part immedietely as it was fun speaking hokkien. Unfortunately, due to the hokkien class having too many people, I was forced to move to the Hainanese class. It was fun though, as I learnt how to speak a new dialect and we sang songs and knew more about the Hainanese culture. We were even given the recipe for traditional Hainanese Chicken Rice. The lesson was very enjoyable and Interesting and it was certainly a great Racial Harmony Celebration.
