Being a nation obsessed about food, Singaporeans get very excited around this subject. One of my favourite desserts is Almond cream. It is made up of ground almonds and milk. There is a similar dessert called Almond paste, with the only difference being in its texture. Unlike almond cream which is silky smooth and glides down your throat, especially the cold version (the hot version is more common) almond paste is a gooey liquid dessert.

There is a popular dessert stall located in Temple Street (Chinatown) which serves this dessert. On weekends it is difficult to secure a seat. It also serves up other desserts such as Walnut cream, Peanut cream and Sesame Cream. Go down for a try one of these days if you wish to try this dessert!
