This is an old transistor radio made by the Philips factory in Singapore. It features a silkscreened imprint of the old Singapore Telecoms logo, and the words 'Hello Centennial 1879 - 1979'. The radio was made specially to mark Singapore Telecoms' 100th birthday. I love the hand designed cursive typography, and the radio brings back memories of the time when Singapore was in its electronics manufacturing phase, before the advent of computers. A radio like this was all you needed at the void deck with your friends!
