One of my earliest memories as a child is going with my parents in the evenings to the outdoor playgrounds on the roof of Wisma Atria and Parkway Parade shopping centres. They were memorable because I went there with both my parents. Due to my parents’ busy working schedules, I didn’t see much of them when I was growing up, especially my dad.
What I liked about the playgrounds was that they were sand-free, the type with fake grass and rubber materials covering the ground. I guess even as a child I wasn’t that keen on getting sand in my shoes hehe.
I believe I’m around four years old in this picture, and my dad is keeping a close eye on me. I remember going for the slides, and my mum asking the person-in-charge for me to go down the slide one last time when it was closing time.
