I managed to keep two of these Ovaltine tins from my late father's coffeeshop. During the 70's Ovaltine was more popular than Milo because, from what the adults said, it contained eggs, and people thought, and still many people think nowadays - that eggs are fortifying. Ovaltine has lost the battle today and is no longer seen on supermarket shelves, while Milo is growing strong, pardon the pun. My father used up countless of Ovaltine, Milo, condense milk, etc, during his coffeeshop proprietorship between the 50s till the 70s.
