My late father was a coffeeshop proprietor. He gave me this old Starr X Stationary Bottle Opener, claimed to be patented in USA and foreign countries (sic) and guaranteed not to chip bottles. On the box, it shows how to mount the gadget on a wall - so all one needs to do is to slot the bottle's cap in its catch and then jerk upwards. The gadget even has "Green Spot" printed on it as an advertiser. For the less initiated, Green Spot orange drink was famous in the 60s and 70s. I don't like it because it tastes very artificial.
