My hero is my mother. She always encourages me in things such as homework and sports.
Like the time when I failed my science, she kept encouraging me to study harder and never to give up. As for sports, she is the best! Everyday, she would accompany me to the void deck to play and every Thursday, she sends me for badminton training at the west coast community centre. She says that not only doing well in academy is important, having a healthy body is equally important. We have to take good care of our health. Eat proper food and exercise regularly.
I remember the time when I was young, about 5 or 6 years old. I was on my way home from kindergarten with my mother and some friends. My friends and I were playing catching when, out of a sudden, one of my friends ran across the road with her maid when the green man was almost gone. Another friend ran after her, I followed quickly behind. Then, suddenly, the green man vanished! I was standing on the divider and almost wanted to dash across when an old man grabbed my hand. My mother was standing behind me, watching in fear.
When the next green man came, she dashed across, grabbed my arm and thanked the old man. When we crossed, I could hear people saying , “na me huai dan! Hui jia ying gai da pi gu. ” which means “ so naughty! Go home must beat backside. ”
When we reached home, I plunged into the sofa and exploded in a fist of sobs. Then, not only did my mother comfort me, she hugged and kissed me, saying that everyone makes mistakes.
So today, I sit here thinking about the mistakes I made from young till now that makes my mother so angry about.
Another incident was when I was only a few weeks old. I was hospitalized due to high fever. When she was supposed to be resting after giving birth to me, she looked after me day and night in the hospital. Each time my mother tells me about it, I could feel how much my mother loves me. Sacrificing her own resting time for my well-being.
There were a few times, I forgot to bring my files, upon receiving my SOS call, my mother would rush to bring my file no matter where she was. One time, my mother was working when I called and she had to rush all the way home from her office to take the files for me.
There was also a time when I took the bus from school and got off at the wrong stop. I was so afraid, luckily, I borrowed a hand phone from a kind lady and called my mother. At that time, after receiving my call, she quickly drove her car to where I was and fetched me home. I was so happy that I almost cried when we got home. Now I know how much my mother loves me and I hope that when I am older, I would make more money and make life comfortable for her.
