MY HEROINE

My heroine is a friend who has befriended me for about five years. Her name is Noraine Kuswadi. She is my first best friend in primary school as I did not have any in primary 1.  In Primary 2, Noraine befriended me and I was happy to have such a friend. I was saved from the loneliness. We had recess together, did our homework together, and even laughed together. We were also best friends with Rosnie. She can be counted as my second hero as if it were not for her, my handwriting would not be so neat. She has influenced me in that way of tidiness. But Noraine is still better that her.

In Primary Three, our relationship sort of soured though it seemed to go well. When our form teacher, Mr Lee Jin Lai, was arranging our seats, Rosnie used her initiative to move to a place near me as that seat was the only one vacant. Noraine sat very far from me. Just then, Mr Lee stopped Rosnie and placed her quite far from me. Soon, I got to know new friends. We had our own friends and fun times. Once, the whole class burst out laughing, I did not know what had happened, but the majority seemed to come from Noraine's group. Seeing them laugh like mad made me want to laugh, too. About a year later, she told me what had happened. Alfred (he happened to be in my class)had made a joke about nuts then he shouted "stupid nuts". It wasn't very funny but we laughed anyway, just like the old times.

Miraculously, in Primary 4, we were still in the same class! Mrs Lee was our subject teacher then. When she arranged for Noraine to sit infront of me, I was delighted. Noraine is a very funny girl who cracks alot of jokes and sometimes, she even does some "stupid poses"! Ah, that was great. I have always laughed my hardest when I am with Noraine. She has influenced my sense of humour as well. She talked to me about a very funny series she watched on YouTube. It is about a lady, Miss Swan, who is in the very funny series to make people laugh, really mad. She can be considered the second Mr Bean in the world. But luck was not always on our side. We had to separate in Primary 5 as I did quite well in Primary 4.

But that was not the end. We still occasionally sit together during recess. Soon it was the end of 2007. My grades were quie bad so I was supposed to go to an average class. "Fortunately", my teacher made a mistake and said I had to stay in this class. My good friends were all gone.

Luckily, Noraine had good grades and came into my class. Now she is trying to teach me how to play badminton as I am sort of a beginner. My "coach" my hero.
