My hero is my grandfather. When I was in kindergarten,my grandfather was the one who would sent me to and fro. When I reached home after a three hour long lesson at the kindergarten,my grandfather would usually cook my favourite---carrot soup rice. That was what I named the rice. The rice would be poured into a bowl full of carrot soup.Sometimes, my grandfather would add some eggs.
At times I would mimic his actions. I would hide behind him, pretending to wash dishes with my hands when he was doing so. I loved shower time. I would get into the bathtub and occupy myself with the toys I brought into the the bathroom. My grandfather would be either be scrubbing my back or shampooing my hair.
In the afternoons,I would sleep with my grandfather.I would usually ask him what time it was when i could not sleep. Those were the days when i did not even know what a computer was as i have neverseen one. At night, I would squeeze side by side with my grandfather on a chair. He would be reading the news.
My grandfather would usually buy burgers for me.It was a long time ago so I could not remember what kind of burgers he bought for me. I only remembered one particular type--- MacDonald's Fillet-O-Fish.
When I was in primary school, my grandfather was still the one who brought me to school. He would bring me back home, sometimes with a packet of chicken rice.
When I was in Primary Three, I started taking supplementary lessons. There was no time to go home, shower, have my lunch before heading back to school. He would then bring me my lunch to the block beside my school. I would eat it there before going back to school to have supplementary lessons.
Nevertheless, ood times always come to an end. My grandfather passed away from a sickness two years ago. All the good times I have shared with him will always remain with me. Thank you so much, Ah Gong.
