A hero is a person who,in the opinion of others,has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act and is regarded as model or ideal-definition from dictionary.com.However to me,a hero is a figure who has influenced my life in a positive way,who ignites hope and willing to  accept my true self.Those are the special qualities which form a true hero.The only person who is bursting with such special qualities,would be my mother.       

She is a slim lady oozing with confidence.She has almond-shaped eyes and lustrous black hair which cascades down her shoulders.She is a woman with élan and deft.                                  

“Why is she my hero?”you may ask.She is the person who moulded me into the character I am at present.There are numerous incidents that testifys her   heroic deeds.Some more significant than others.  

Apart from executing her duties as a parent well,she has been my confidante whom I confide my secrets and feelings to.She would patientily listen to me and advise me accordingly.There was one incident that made my heart shatter into a million pieces and she was the one who helped me to overcome the trauma.That incident is still etched in my mind.“Shaktivel!You have attained a 71 for you Mathematics test!”the voice of my Math teacher kept ringing in my ears.I was totally flabbergasted! I had worked very hard with an aim to ace the test with flying colours but I only attained a pathetic score of 71.Tears welled up in my eyes and I began to cry.When I narrated what happened to my mother,I could feel a sense of disaponitment.But instead of reprimanding me like any other typical parent,she consoled me.She inspired me to work smarter not harder to achieve my goal.She gave me additional practices and taught me how to tackle certain problem sums.At the next test,I achieved a score of ninety-one and tears of joy trickled down my eyes.Following that were a string of successes  as I aced one test after another.               

There was another incident that literally changed my whole life completely.I was a young boy then but suddenly I felt a storm forming in my head.As hours ensued,the agony became unbearable.I was immediately warded into a hospital.The doctors there almost diagnosed me with a deadly disease,Meningitis.My mother was creased with sorrow  when she heard that.She was very determined to resave me from that deadly disease.She spent many sleepless nights attending to my needs whenever I complained about my agony.She encouraged me to have a healthy diet and to become stronger.Soon enough,the disease that was tormenting me vanished.I was deeply touched by her encouragement .Her actions too gave me a lasting impression about her.                               

I hope those are enough evidence to have nominated her as my hero.She has taught me countless of life necessities and skills that provided as a lamp for my path to success.I want to be grateful to her badly and I feel that paying tribute to her would be the very best opportunity.God has tested the love of mother and son a manifold of times but each time she emerges as a winner she will always be my hero no matter under whatever circumstances.
