MY HERO
My hero is my one and only father. He has influenced me in many ways to know what is to be done or not. Although sometimes he scolds me, there will always be an advice at the end. The one thing he has taught me most is to help people in need. Be it your friend, family or even your enemy. He has also taught me to respect the elders and never be rude to them.
My father has helped me in many ways. When I am in need of help, he will always be there. If I have any problems, my father will help me. There was once, I had a head injury and I was my father who brought me to the clinic. I was sent to another clinic to have my head stitched up because the doctor said there was a big hole in my head. That is one incident I could never forget. If my father was not there, would I still be alive?
There was also another incident, when I was just starting to learn how to cycle. My father spent a lot of time because he said it was a pity if we do not know how to cycle. I was having so much fun when suddenly; my foot got stuck in between the wheels. Ii cried and it was my father who helped me once again.
Although my father is sometimes very fierce and scary, he always has a soft spot. My father has helped many of my family members. No matter how much I try, I just could not understand how he could have so much love to give to everyone. Usually, if I have problems, my father will help me. My father will usually come up with solutions to help me.
My father has taught my brother and me many things. For example, brothers should not fight with one another. Although we have been advised many times, we would still be fighting. There was one incident when there was a major fight between us. The fight only stopped when my father stepped in and scolded us.
For many times, my father has helped me with my homework. If I could not finish my homework, he would always calm me down so that I could concentrate better. He never fails to help me. When I was in Primary Three, I received a lot of homework due to a long absence from school. He helped me calm down although he could not help me complete my work.
I have had many good memories with my father. We would usually be playing badminton or going out with my family for a stroll at West Coast Park. For me, where there are good memories, there will also be bad memories. I try as hard as I can to forget them, but to no avail. My father never fails to cheer my whole family up with his jokes. He will tell stories during dinner time or whenever he is free.
My father does not tell us his problems, but I am sure he does have problems. One day I hope to be mature enough to be his listener instead. I will always be proud of my happy and cheerful father.
