My hero

Who is your hero? I believe that in everyone’s heart, they have a hero. Hero can be in a virtual and realistic world. But in my heart, my heroine is someone who I see everyday. She is none other than my workaholic mother.

My mother has three children. She has always painstakingly taken care of us. Her routine everyday is to do house chores, cook for the family after she comes back from work at five o’clock in the evening.

She has never complained how hard and tiring her life is. If I were to be in her shoes, I will definitely be arguing how imperfect my life is.

“Life is never easy, before you start complaining, look at another perspective. You will actually find that you are very fortunate.” My mother always educates this to me.

This is her belief has accompany her all these years. She is my heroine, I admire her infinite passion in the things she do.  Whenever I am facing problems in school, my mother will come to give me a helping hand.

During my first day to a new primary school, I just refused to go to school.  My mother comforted me and promised to be with me the whole day despite her having many things to do. She sat in my class and saw me adapting to the new school life and learning new things.

If not my mother, I will not be here to see the beautiful world today. During my first lesson of swimming, I almost drowned. I was having a leg cramp that I was struggling in the water and no body discovered that I was drowning.

At that moment, my hero came to save me. She is none other than my mother. Without hesitation, she jumped into the pool to save me. It may look every easy to enter a pool shorter than herself. But no one knows that it took her a lot of courage to do it. My mother is allergic to the chlorine since young. Whenever she came into contact with chlorine, her skin will start to develop rashes which will last for a week.

“Thank you mum. Without you, I will not be as fortunate as other children. The simple thing you do for me, I am very grateful and touched,” I said this to my mother after that incident.

Before that incident, my heroes were those characters like Superman and Batman. But after the incident, I changed my perspective of what a hero should be like. My hero can be an ordinary person who save and touched my life.
