My persona hero is my mother. My mother is like the pillar of the family. She takes good care of the family.
I am the eldest of 3 children, with a younger sister aged 3 and a baby brother aged 1. As for me, I am 11 years old this year, which is a really big gap between me and my sister and brother.
Why the big gap? Because during the time when my mother have me, it was tough on her as I was hyper-active and asthmatic. When she was pregnant with me, she also had to go through an operation to remove a cyst. After I was born, I often refuse to eat food and woke up in the middle of the night and cried for no reason.
When I was about 4 years old, I had an asthma attack and had to be admitted to a hospital. My mother had to stay back in the hospital to take care of me. As I was also hyper active, I could not sit still and often receive complains from the child care centre which I attended. This gave my mother much heart ache. During this trying time, my mother decided to give up her career so that she can takes care of me. Because of my health, I also have to stop going to kindergarten and missed out on lessons. When my health has picked up and ready to return to school, I had a difficult time catching up on the lessons.
To help me, my mother sent me to an intensive phonics class. Although I did not like the class, my mother insisted I attend these classes for my benefits. Rain or shine, she would bring me there.
Under the care, coaching and love of my mother, I have since recovered from my asthma and could now read well.
Even now, my mother never gave up on me despite the naughty streak that still remains in me. She is surely my personal hero who ensure my family stays together.
