In our life, people will definitely had a hero in their heart. An hero is a person who is admired and looked up to for outstanding qualities or achievements. I had a hero in my life too. My hero is not a famous star or a nice, pretty teacher. My hero is also not any movies character that had super powers. My hero is none other than my mother.

My mother is only a common, normal housewife. With a dazzling smile and sparkling eyes, she does not have a towering height but she stands tall. Her skin is white and it light up our home. She does the household without any complaining. My mother’s eyes seem to be able to talk. Sometimes, her eyes glow red with anger. Occasionally, her eyes beam with pride when she sees my examination results. Once in a blue moon, when I returned home late, her eyes will have a reproachful and worried look in them, warning me not to be late again. She was, and still is a great woman in my eyes. She painstakingly brought me up and there is no way I can repay her for her love and kindness. Although, my mother sometimes scolds me, I know that with every whip, an invisible knife cuts her heart. It break her heart to have scold me too. There is a Chinese proverb that says

to beat is to kiss, to scold is to love”. I believed that it is absolutely true.

Nothing can come closer to the love that my mother feels for me. My mother make sure that I am safe and happy throughout my childhood. I think that raising children comes with its own share of frustrations, from the needy new born baby that requires regular care to the sullen teenager, a mother's job is not easy. My mother puts me before anything else, including their own comfort and happiness. To me, my mother is very intelligent and smart. She is always by my side and willing to help me with school problems or any other personal problems. She could be also working and getting paid right now, but she chose to stay at home to clean the house and to take care of me. My mother always tells me to succeed in life and never give up. She, herself keeps her head up high and keeps a positive attitude no matter what’s going on.

Although, the word

mother is short and simple, the meaning it contains is indescribable profound. Mother gives us life. She lives the whole 9 months with difficulties to give birth to me. Even so, she has to nurture and take a good care of us until we are grown up. Consequently, mother is like our first teacher. She is also like hands that always protect and hold us and guide us to a good direction. When we are sick, she is like a nurse always looking after me. Basically, my mother is everything to me. She can sacrifice everything for me and so I must work harder to repay her. She is just like a hero to me. A superwoman” who had done a lot for me.

My mother is always my hero!
