I have a hero, my hero is my dad. He is just like any human in the world. However, he made an impact in my life that changes my way of thinking. He may not be the greatest to other people but he is the greatest to me.

I have a large family with three elder sisters and my father is the only breadwinner. He has a very firm look on his face and a pair of stern eyes, making him looks fierce all the time. Despite his appearance, he is a very kind and helpful man.

My dad had a very poor economic background and did not have chance to complete his studies. Therefore, he will do his best to let my sisters and I to complete our studies so as to fulfill his wish. He is also a does to earth man that does not believe in pulling strings or using dishonesty to gain favoritism. Therefore, he works diligently as a civil servant and manage to acquire a high post in there.

There was an incident that he touched me and changes my way of thinking till now. When I was about 10years old, my family and I went on a tour to Korea. It was December then and you can see millions of cotton like snow falling down the sky. We went to an ice skating ground to ice skate. During then, I was very mischievous and naïve. I wanted to ice skate too, even though my parents did not allow me as I was too young. However, I insisted and throw my tantrums at her. In the end, my father gave in and allowed me to go, provided that I must be extra careful.

As we started to ice skate, I was a little scared and my legs were trembling. I had to hold my dad tightly so as to balance properly. After a tries, I got the hang of it and started let go my dad and go by myself. However, a few seconds after I let my dad, I began to lose balance and my hands were swinging frantically in the air to get hole of a support. Eventually I fell down and injured my leg. My dad saw me and was astounded by the fall. He immediately rushed to me and helped me up.

“Kai Kai! What happened! How did you fell down!”, said my father in Chinese as he searched frantically if there was any wound.

I was in great pain as I sprained my leg. I scared I would not be able to walk anymore and cried. In the end, my father comforted me and carried me by his back. I blamed myself for being too playful and not listen to my father. My father had to carry me all the way to the nearest clinic and undergo treatment. As a result, my dad injured his back greatly due to carrying me and caused him to suffer from osteoporosis even up till now. I felt very guilty about this incident and I told myself never ever let my dad suffer and take care of him the rest of my life. I learnt to be responsible and not to be so mischievous anymore.

All in all, my father is a man with a lot of determination and does everything with all his effort. No one else can replace his position in my heart and he will always be in my heart. He inspires me to became a more responsible person and think before every action.
