Standing at 1.78 meters tall, in his usual polo t-shirt and ¾ shorts, he is my uncle. Despite being quite successful now, he is still fond of wearing his polo t-shirt and shorts. Being the eldest of the five siblings, my uncle took up responsibility to take care of the family, when my grandfather passed away. At the age of twenty, he was already saving up money to open his own company.

My uncle has strong perseverance that influenced me to persevere in what ever I do. Due to his perseverance, he managed to turn into a boss, having his own company. Even though not very large, he still managed to support the family, and buy a house the whole family to stay in. when he first started the company, he faced many setbacks. But due to his perseverance, he solved most of the problems that came his way. Even though he failed sometime, he never gave up. He always like to quote Michael Jordan’s words “I can accept failure, but I cannot accept giving up.” So even though, he may not be perfect, but he is my hero.

A good leader is what my uncle was. This is one of the things I have benefited from learning from him. Strict and firm when serious work is being done, but also a good friend to his workers during other times. This made him understand his workers better and also gain their respect and support as a boss. He told me that, only by being friends with your teammates, will your team increase efficiency and produce quality work. By using what he thought me, my team began to increase the quality of our work, and soon rose to be the most efficient team of all. My uncle may not be able to fly or save others, but he is my hero.

Love and concern for my family is also one of the things he had influenced me. Ever since young, he was a caring and loving elder brother, who shared all his goodies with his siblings even though he knew there will be none left for him. There was once when I was sick, and my parents could not come to fetch me, he came and took me to the doctor. At that moment, he really felt like a hero to me. He still takes cares of his brother even at this age. He bought a car for his brother and gave him a reasonable good pay. He made his brother work in his company and helped to learn many skills. For an O-level graduate at that time, being able to work in a company is a very good opportunity. My uncle never saved anyone from a fire, or saved little children stranded on the sea, but he is my hero.

My uncle has many, many more good points such as being Hilarious, Encouraging, Responsible and Optimistic. Add all those points up and mix it with those I have said earlier, you will get my HERO.
