My Heroes is my wife.
I came to the conclusion that for me the best choice would be my wife Wendy. Wendy is my number one personal hero, though like most husbands I probably don't tell her as much as I should. We have been married for 16 years and have two wonderful little children that are the source of more joy than I could ever say.
There are many reasons that Wendy is a hero to me, but they all pretty much come down to her focus on family, and her ability to do an amazing number of different tasks every day to keep our home and businesses running smoothly. She has always been of the mindset that family relationships are the most important aspect of life and this has been a very positive influence on our children and the relationship with them. Being a guy, I have a tendency to lose sight of such things and get caught up with the demands of work other stresses. Wendy helps keep me focused on what is really important in life.
I have been fortunate to have had several relationships with some great women during the course of my life, but there is no doubt that Wendy was the right person that I was meant to be with. I am very glad I never married before I met her. She is not perfect, but no one is perfect. Anyone who searches for perfection in a relationship is bound to me disappointed. I think that what helps our relationship last and grow is that our strengths and weaknesses compliment each other. We have been through some great times and some difficult circumstances as well. That is all part of life. Through it all I have never doubted my love for her. Though I have had a number of other people in my life that I will eventually post as personal hero stories, she is my number one hero!
