In singapore, we are very safe from crimes and natural disasters.we are also very close to each other in terms of distance so we are able to protect each other from any harm.

| I agree with Joash. Many problrms arise when there is racism within a country. However, in Singapore, we do not experience such a problem as we are constantly informed about the various racial and religious practices of people around us. Living with people of different races, I feel that it is a unique experience as it allows us to get to know each other more and respect each other. |

| Yes, i agree too. The reason why Racial Harmony Day was created because of strikes and racism riots in the early days of Singapore. We should strive and bond together with fellow Singaporeans so we can be united as one. |

| Yes, that is very true. One should be very blessed to be living here in Singapore. Just look at the U.S, the crime rates are high and natural disasters frequently hit the states. So dangerous! While look at Iraq, the nation has lots of terrorism, gunfights and stuff, absolutely not a place where I want to be. But here, in Singapore, we are safe from most potential threats, and that is why LIVING IN SINGAPORE IS EXCELLENT!!!! :D |

Hi, great discussion going on! I agree that it's great living in Singapore which is safe. It gives the people the security to go about building stable relationships and settling their roots into Singapore.
However, what do you think of the recent series of incidents like the flood and the trees crashing etc? Is Singapore still safe or will be safe in the coming years? Do you think Singaporeans will become closer with these crisis or become more distanced from one another? |
