Membership Privileges
NHB Tertiary membership is valid for one year. Membership is w.e.f. date joined (i.e. the date when NHB receives your application form online).
Admission to NHB Museums
- The scheme covers unlimited free admission to Asian Civilisations Museum, National Museum of Singapore, Singapore Art Museum and the Peranakan Museum. Also included in the membership scheme now is 8Q sam, Singapore Art Museum’s new contemporary art space.
- The Singapore Philatelic Museum, Reflections at Bukit Chandu & Memories at Old Ford Factory are not covered by this Membership Scheme.
- Only students from member institutions are entitled to the free unlimited admission to the museums. This applies to both individual and group visits. Accompanying staff on organised group visits will also enjoy free admission.
- Academic and non-academic staff will enjoy 20% discount off admission fees when they visit the museums on their own.
- Volunteers, alumni members and institution’s guests (overseas teachers/ students) are not covered under this membership scheme.
- Staff and students must show proof of their identity (student or staff card) at the museums’ Front Desk before free admission or discount is granted.
- Member institutions are entitled to free guided tours of the museums, subject to availability.
- This Membership Scheme does not cover special admission fees for Blockbuster Exhibitions. However, member institutions can enjoy 20% discount for blockbuster exhibitions, subject to changes for some special shows. Sometimes, NHB museums offer free admissions for NHB member schools to blockbuster exhibitions, please visit their websites for more information.
- NHB shall not be liable for any loss of life or property or injury to persons or damage to property which takes place within its museums’ premises.
Discounts
- Member institutions can enjoy 10% discount on selected publications and products at the National Archives of Singapore, Reflections at Bukit Chandu and Memories at Old Ford Factory.
- Member institutions can enjoy 10% discount on selected items at all Museum Shops by Banyan Tree.
- Member institutions can enjoy 10% discount on selected items at True Blue Shoppe at the Peranakan Museum.
- Member institutions can also enjoy discounts at the following F & B Outlets: - 10% discount on all non-promotional items at Café Momentum, located next to the Peranakan Museum. - 15% discount off all a la carte items except set meals, promotional items, bottled water and Ben n Jerry's ice cream at Verandah Café at the Asian Civilisations Museum.

Discount for bookings of ComfortDelgro Bus Services
Members are entitled to discounts for their booking of ComfortDelgro Bus services (sister company of SBS Transit) for their museum visits. Schools have to contact them directly for their bookings.

Application for Membership
- 10 membership cards will be issued by NHB once your application form has been processed.
- Loss of membership card must be reported immediately to NHB. A $10 fee will be charged for the replacement of each card.
- An invoice will also be issued by NHB once we receive your application form.
- To ensure that you can start to enjoy your Membership privileges immediately, your institution is considered a member as soon as we receive your application form. Your institution can then visit any of the National Museums, even before receiving the Membership card. Member Schools are required to check their institution's name against the Membership list available at the respective museums’ Front Desks.
Cancellation of Tertiary Membership
Once the institution’s application form has been processed by NHB (i.e. an invoice and membership card have been sent to the institution), any request to cancel the membership will be charged with an administrative fee of 20% of the total institution membership fee.
