MyStory is brought to you by the Education and Outreach Division of the National Heritage Board in Singapore. The Education and Outreach Division aims to promote awareness and appreciation of the cultural and historical heritage of Singapore to Singaporeans and visitors. Our mission is to foster nationhood, identity and creativity through education, outreach and community programmes and events. The multi-faceted programmes offered by the Division cater to children and the wider public, and engage them in debate and discussion on what makes them truly Singaporean.
The Division is also in charge of promoting Singapore's national symbols, so as to encourage Singaporeans to have a sense of place and pride in the nation. Some of our more popular programmes include highly interactive and educational travelling exhibitions, the Singapore HeritageFest, which is a 12-day celebration of Singapore's unique heritage, the marking of historically significant sites and designing heritage trails and hunts. Every programme, publication or event that is organised by the division is carefully planned to engage, entertain and educate our audiences. They act as a catalyst to help our visitors or participants start their own journey of discovering who they are, where they came from and how they see working together to build a shared future for themselves and their future generations.
